CUSTOMER INFORMATION PRIVACY POLICY

Introduction

At DNB First, the basis of each customer relationship, many of which span generations, is trust. You have chosen to do business with DNB First, and we feel it is important to honor that relationship with great care. Your personal privacy is very important. We recognize that whether you are an existing customer or are considering a relationship with us, you have an interest in how we collect, retain, and use information about you and your business relationship with us. We believe that your reasonable expectations of privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals. We believe we can do both through the privacy policy outlined below.

Recognition of a Customer’s Expectation of Privacy

At DNB First, Confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental concerns. We hope to fulfill your expectation that your personal, nonpublic financial information will remain secure. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers’ trust. Thus, the safekeeping of customer information is a priority for DNB First.

Information Collection and Retention

Information about consumers is accumulated from a variety of sources. Some information is provided to DNB First directly by customers themselves. Other data is developed by DNB First as a function of providing a product or service to a customer. Still other information is obtained from outside sources. We will limit the use, collection and retention of information about our customers to that, which is necessary to gain an understanding of their financial needs and help us design products and services to meet them; to protect and administer their records, accounts, and funds; and to comply with certain laws and regulations.

DNB First automatically collects and stores information about your Internet connection when you visit our web site. This information includes the following:

DNB First does not use "cookies." (A cookie is an entry placed in a file on your hard drive by a web site that allows it to monitor your use of the web site, usually without your knowledge.)

If you choose to give us feedback on the web site via electronic mail (or if you request additional information from DNB First), you will be asked for your name and address and will have the option of providing other information (such as requested on the web site application.) If you send e-mail to DNB First, we will consider that to be your consent for the Bank to use the information collected from the message consistent with this policy.

Maintenance of Accurate Information

We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. We have implemented internal controls and procedures designed to keep and report customer information as accurately and completely as reasonable possible. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccurate information.

Limitations on Employee Access to Information

At DNB First, employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on these Privacy Principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all DNB First employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and employees who violate these Privacy Principles will be subject to disciplinary measures.

Security Standards and Procedures

DNB First is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment designed to protect your account information from wrongful access by third parties.

It is our policy to maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with internal security standards. We train our employees to understand and comply with these principles. In addition, we continually assess new technology for protecting information.

If you are sending electronic mail to DNB First, we want to remind you that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If your information is very sensitive, or includes personal or confidential information – such as your bank account, charge card, or social security number – you may want to send it by postal mail instead of e-mail.

Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

It is the Bank’s policy not to reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence or business matters, unless:

  1. the information is provided to help complete a customer-initiated transaction;
  2. the customer requests or permits it;
  3. the disclosure is required by or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.); or
  4. The customer has been informed about the possibility of disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and given the opportunity to decline (i.e., "opt out").

DNB First is highly selective in choosing vendors and service companies that assist us in providing quality products and services to our customers. We may share certain customer information with these third parties to facilitate the offering, administration, collection, and delivery of these products and services. When we do provide customer information to a third party, we will insist – through a written agreement – that the third party adheres to privacy principles similar to those to which DNB First adheres for keeping this information confidential.

We may exchange certain information about our customers with selected credit reporting agencies in accordance with standard banking industry practices.

DNB First does not sell customer information to outside parties.
